Emanuele, 37, is a native of the Fontanelle area for three generations, and he hopes that his daughter, when she grows up, will also choose to live here.
Founder of the “I Giovani delle Fontanelle” Committee
When he was a boy, he felt he lived in an isolated and forgotten place: the Fontanelle were the outskirts of the Rione Sanità. Only by growing up and travelling did he come to realise the material and immaterial heritage preserved in his neighbourhood. That is why he decided to found the “I Giovani delle Fontanelle” Committee, with the aim of enhancing his land, the one that for years had lived in the indifference of so many.
He believes that the Cemetery is a common good that, if placed at the service of the community, can generate real social transformation. His hope is that, when it reopens, it will reopen for good.
