Roberta

Thanks to her grandmother’s stories, the Cemetery seemed to her like a magical place, full of tales and legends.

Roberta

Roberta, 40, first entered the Cemetery with her grandmother when she was still a child.

Her initial feeling of bewilderment disappeared when her grandmother took her into her arms and began speaking to her about the Captain, donna Concetta, and the Spouses. At that tender age, those stories felt like fairy tales from a distant time, legends wrapped in ancient magic.

A place that means family

Even today, if she happens to meet an elderly person near the Cemetery telling those stories, bridges between different eras, she stops, listens, and for a while becomes a child again in her grandmother’s embrace.

Roberta saw the Cemetery as a place of magical stories.
