Tina, 57, grew up with her grandmother just a few steps away from the Cemetery.
When she was a child, playing there with her friends felt natural. The Cemetery belonged to her just like every alley and square in the neighbourhood.
More than a place to play, a piece of history
The only home in the area with a telephone, her family’s small ground-floor house became the improvised dressing room for actors and directors who, in the 1980s, chose the Cemetery as a film set. Her grandmother was even cast in “La Pagella” by Ninì Grassia.
That was when she realised that this place, so familiar to her, was also a place of history, a story suspended between earth and sky that, in the end, could speak to everyone.
